Over the past few days, a lot of rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 made the rounds online. To be more specific, it seems that the South Korean manufacturer is planning to follow a trend started by Apple and ditch the headphone jack, while another rumors was pointing to a handset without a physical home button.
We know, all of these sound very interesting, but after a few sources claimed that the flagship will be build using Samsung flexible display technology, it really managed to raise some question marks!
Yes, but, well…no.
There’s no need to say that a smartphone with a flexible display would be really impressive, but if you ask us, it’s less likely to see it happening in February, when the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched.
On the other side, it’s very possible to see this technology at the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, says Value Walk. The phablet is reported to be released in two variants, one with a bendable OLED screen and one with two displays. To be more specific, this version will have a display on the back as well, transforming the handset in a radical model.
Don’t get too excited about this!
Of course, our recommendation is to take all these rumors with a big pinch of salt, since a smartphone with a foldable display, even in 2017, is something that the market is still not ready for.
Keep an eye on our blog, as we will be back with more details about the Samsung Galaxy S8, as well as the Galaxy Note 8, even though it’s a bit early to talk about the latter.
