After a long wait, Cupertino-based company Apple unveiled this Tuesday its new MacBook Pro, a laptop expected by all tech fans who were very curious to see the new TouchBar, replacing the function buttons, in action, Because yeah, this is one of the most interesting features presented during today’s event, but we’ll get to it a bit later.
Faster, lighter and with some cool new features
The new MacBook Pro is available with 13″ and 15″ displays, being 15% thinner and lighter than their predecessors, while the display is 67% brighter, with 25% more colors, says USA Today.
“The new MacBooks are 6.8 million times faster than that first device,” said Apple’s Marketing chief, Phil Schiller. “Put another way, a full year of compute time can be accomplished in less than 5 seconds on the new MacBook Pro.”

Back to the all new TouchBar, it’s basically a Retina Display-quality horizontal screen, able to adapt its digital keys to what you’re working on, no matter if we’re talking about editing photos, browsing the Web. Also, the best part is that you can customize it according to your needs.
But this isn’t the only innovative feature Apple introduced with the new MacBook Pro, as it also comes with a new TouchID. This can be used for accessing the laptop through your fingerprint or use Apple Pay.
But how much does it cost?
The new MacBook Pro has a starting price of $1,499, for the 13″ version, without the TouchBar. If you want the same version, but with the new feature, you need to pay an extra $300, reaching $1799. As for the 15″ version, it retails for $2399.
