While most of its competitors are launching VR and AR headsets, Apple is still keeping a low profile, seeming like they're not interested at all in this constantly growing domain. However, according to the latest rumors, the Cupertino-based manufacturer is working at an augmented reality headset that will have its on display and be powered by a new chip and operating system, says MacRumors, citing a report from Bloomberg. Hitting the shelves in about 3 years Apple is planning to have all the technology ready for the headset until 2019, while a consumer version should start shipping by 2020, according to the same report. What's very interesting is that the development timeline is said to be "very aggressive" and could change a bit in the mean time.
