After four generations of waiting, the mini flagship is rumored to make a return. If a potential Galaxy S8 mini remained a dream for a lot of users who wanted a compact device with high end specs, it seems that 2018 could finally bring it back!
Three new top Samsungs, coming this spring!
Yes, we’re talking about the Samsung Galaxy S9 mini, which, according to some reports, is currently in the works and should make its debut in March 2018, alongside the S9 and S9+, says GSM Arena.
The last Mini was released in 2014, shortly after the Galaxy S5, but the specs were somewhere in the mid-range sector. As for the upcoming Galaxy S9 mini, it should stick to a 5.0″ display, with curved edges, and, most likely, the same 18:5:9 aspect ration seen on the manufacturer’s latest high-end models. And if this happens, we will definitely deal with a very tiny device.
Design-wise, we’re absolutely convinced that it will follow the same design line as the S9 and S9+, maybe with a few differences in terms of buttons and sensors placement.
Tons of power, compact body
As for the specs, Samsung could follow Sony’s example and put the same amount of processing power under the hood like on the Galaxy S9, just like the Japanese manufacturer does with its Compact models.
Otherwise, there aren’t any details regarding the specs or the price, but it’s way too early to think about them. Also, it’s recommended to take all these rumors with a big pinch of salt, since the trail is pretty cold right now. But we don’t have any doubts that more details will emerge soon!
