The tech community is looking forward to seeing Motorola’s new Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play, expected to make their debut in the near future. However, until then, a lot of leaks with the two handsets keep making the rounds online, the latest being a set of press renders with both models, showing them in full detail!
Same thing, just a few size differences
It seems that they look pretty much the same from the front, rocking a new rectangular fingerprint scanner, alongside a similar screen setup, as well as front facing LED flashes, according to Android Headlines.
Moving on, we can also spot a microphone on the bottom left and some kind of shell around the front, which is definitely an interesting design option.
However, the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 Force can be easier differentiated by taking a look at the back panels. To be more specific, the Moto Z2 Force comes with a dual camera setup within the lens, while the Play model relies just on a single sensor within the same bump.
Overall, both handsets continue the design line started by last year’s Moto Z line up, but it’s worth nothing that they have a more premium look, with a bit of 2017’s Moto G flavor.
It’s a matter of design vs. power
Spec-wise, the Moto Z2 Force is expected to rock a Snapdragon 835 under the hood, alongside 4GB of RAM, while the Play version will rely on a Snapdragon 626 and the same amount of RAM.
Keeping it short, there aren’t any major differences between the two handsets, as the Play will be the slimmer version, with less power and less battery, while the Moto Z2 Force is a bit chunkier, with a more powerful chipset and a beefier battery.
