There’s no doubt that one of the most expected smartphone of the year is the presumed iPhone 8, Apple’s 10th anniversary handset, which could completely change the way the Cupertino-based manufacturer’s handsets work and look. And the rumor mill is constantly working, as each day we find out new details about this mysterious iPhone, not to mention the leaked images that also keep coming…
Somebody is good at keeping secrets
Like every year, Apple manages to maintain the mystery surrounding its new smartphones and they’re not sharing everything regarding this so-called iPhone 8. Considering this, we have our reasons to take all rumors with a pinch of salt, but the latest information, revealed by Foxconn, made us think a bit.
To be more specific, according to GSM Arena, it seems that Apple placed orders just for iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus units. And, as far as everybody knows, the only differences between these two handsets and 2016’s models will be under the hood, while the design will, most likely, remain the same. Even more, the same source says that packaging materials for these new iPhones should reach Foxconn in the last week of June, which means that we could see the 7s and 7s Plus somewhere in September or even earlier.
Delayed? Maybe, but we’re not convinced…
As for the iPhone 8 – if these rumors are accurate, of course – it could be delayed until 2018, despite all the rumors and leaks regarding the OLED display, the lack of a physical home button, a glass panel covering the back, wireless charging or a USB Type-C port.
Finally, if a personal opinion is allowed, we doubt that Apple would let 2017, the year of the iPhone’s 10 anniversary, without a spectacular smartphone, completely different than everything we’ve seen so far!
