During the latest earnings conference call, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the entire enthusiasm created around the upcoming iPhone 8 is actually affecting iPhone 7 sales, as a lot of people prefer to wait for a few more months and see what the Cupertino-based manufacturer will come up with!
Apple wants to follow the trends
According to BGR, the rumor mill is constantly working, and the latest reports are pointing to not one, but two wireless features that really make the iPhone 8 worth waiting for.
To be more specific, we’re talking about a note to clients issued by JPMorgan, in which the firm’s analysts explain that Broadcom will supply Apple with wireless chips for the upcoming smartphone, able to handle wireless charging, as well as Bluetooth 5.0.
Basically, this confirms that the iPhone 8 will return to the sandwich design, with a metal plate being placed between the two glass panels. And this should also be a great choice, since analysts are anticipating some pretty impressive numbers in terms of sales.
A bit of inspiration from Samsung
Back to the wireless features, the handset could also come with Bluetooth 5.0, as mentioned above, but this isn’t a surprising aspect, if you ask us. Let’s not forget that the Samsung Galaxy S8, one of the iPhone’s main competitors, already comes with this standard, so it was basically a must for Apple.
This new technology would allow iPhone 8 users to use two different audio streams. Or, to put things the other way, they can watch the same show or listen to the same song and have complete control over the volume experience on their Bluetooth headsets. Even more, Bluetooth 5.0 can be users over longer distances, compared to the previous version, 4.0.
