With just two weeks remaining since the big unveiling, we already know pretty much everything we’re interested in about the upcoming Google Pixel 2, thanks to a set of leaks published by Droid Life.
A new color option is coming!
The handset, which will make its debut during an event scheduled for October 4, will come in three colors: just black, kinda blue, and clearly white. As for the prices, the same source mentions that the 64GB variant will be available for $649, while the 128GB model will have a price tag of $749, basically $200 less than the reported prices for the Google Pixel 2 XL.
Both phones will be available through the Play Store, but Google will also offer some financing options, for 24 months, so you don’t need to worry that much if you want the phone and can’t afford it from start.
Not the manufacturer we were expecting
Manufactured by LG (yes, we were also surprised), the phone will have the squeeze gesture feature seen on the HTC U11. The same thing will be available on the Pixel 2 XL, which, overall, will be almost the same phone, as LG is doing the same thing they did with the Nexus 5X and 6P.
To be more specific, the things that will differentiate the phones are the size of the display, the processor and, of course, the battery size. Otherwise, it’s the same phone!
During the same event, Google is also planning to introduce the Home Mini personal assistant, as an alternative to Amazon’s Echo Dot, and a new Daydream View.
