Despite the upcoming iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 being under the spotlight for the past weeks, we shouldn’t forget that another premium smartphone is on the verge of making its debut in the near future: Google Pixel 2.
Just like the two models, the Google-made handset was the subject of tons of rumors and, finally, thanks to a tipster, GSM Arena published a couple of live images with the Pixel 2, giving us an exact image regarding what we should expect from it, in terms of design!
And no, we don’t have any good news…
To our surprise, the bezels are very thick and we’re really curious about the way Google is planning to compete with Apple and Samsung.
As you probably know, most manufacturers opted for bezels as think as possible, but let’s not forget that HTC, which also happens to be the maker of the Google Pixel 2, didn’t stick to this trend that much, so, considering this, this isn’t surprising, actually…
Moving on, the same source reveals that the smartphone also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, let’s not forget that HTC’s U 11 doesn’t have one either!
Yeah, Edge Sense!
Since it’s pretty much based on HTC’s current flagship, the Pixel 2 will also feature stereo speaker and the Edge Sense technology, which is a big plus, if you ask us.
Form-wise, the phone will have a better in-hand feel that its predecessor, which nowadays is a very important aspect. However, we’re still disappointed about the fact that it lacks that premium look a flagship should have!
We’re really hoping that this is just a developer unit and the final version will come with some minor adjustments, able to improve its overall look!
