Lately, there have been a lot of rumors about HTC’s upcoming handset, the U11 Plus, a device with a bigger screen real estate, but keeping some of the essential features seen on the Taiwanese manufacturer’s latest flagship, the U11.
Edge Sense is here to stay!
The latest teaser they posted basically confirms the launch event, as well as the presence of the Edge Sense technology: “Even more squeezed in” sounds pretty convincing isn’t it?

For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, Edge Sense offers shortcuts to apps or actions, by simply applying pressure to the phone’s frame. And, as far as we know, this is a first for smartphones!
As mentioned above, the upcoming HTC U11 Plus could have a 6.0″ display, with a 18:9 aspect ratio, as well as smaller bezels. Something tells us that they want to compensate for the U11, which had slightly bigger bezels, compared to its direct competitors, the Galaxy S8 and LG G6. And the new iPhone X, that is!
No more buttons on the front
Moving on, the handset is also expected to feature a fingerprint scanner placed on the back, which means that a set of on-screen navigation buttons will be present on the front.
In a nutshell, we’re looking forward to November 2, when the HTC U11 Plus will make its official debut, alongside the HTC U11 life, a direct variant of the U11. And we already know pretty much everything about this one, since T-Mobile leaked it entirely on its support pages.
